Missing food from home

That was dinner last night. Looks really good right? Beef shank with potatoes and gravy. How could you go wrong? It's a nice place, ate there twice actually. But their idea of beef and our idea of beef are two different things. It was at that point that I realized I am really missing American style food. The food here is interesting, and I've enjoyed trying different things, but you just can't go wrong with a cheeseburger or pizza. Unfortunately, we haven't found the "American" resturant yet. (Like they'd actually have something like that.)

It's Saturday morning here in Kemerovo and it seems like everyone stays in on the weekends. There is no one out on the street. During the week the streets are filled with cars and the sidewalks with people. On the weekend it's almost a ghost town. Definately not what we are use to. I think we'll head down to the Walmartski today and shop around. Not sure what we need, but it's something to do. It can get dull here in a hurry!

There is an outside chance we'll get Maddux next Saturday, Oct 30th. We'll know for sure on Monday or Tuesday. That'd be great, having him four days before we leave the region! We'll keep everyone posted.

  1. That would be great if you can pick up Maddux next Saturday. Until then, can you ask around, to see if there are local gallery's, or flee markets to go to. That might help the boredom.
